A VERY interesting and unusual performance of the Grieg A minor concerto! Mouravlev's playing tends to be deliberate and slow, somewhat like Afanassiev at times, but Mouravlev holds the music together handsomely, especially at about 10'28 of the 1st movement where he plays a very sensitive lento leading into the diminuendo at 11'
    LOVELY!
And Eliasberg has the orchestra under control, and they form excellent partnership with Mouravlev.

A wonderful, unusual performance. (I like unusual performances!)
    Thank you!

Very special indeed..But,who is this wonderful pianist?Reminds me Michelangeli somehow with his way of articulation-a smooth, slow and lucid one.
    Happy New Year!!
