Temirkanov is one of my favorite conductors, the St Petersburg is one of my favorite orchestras and the 7th symphony by Shostakovich is one of my favorite works (ESPECIALLY the third movement!! which Temirkanov conducts better than anyone.) Also, a dynamic Prokofiev 1 by Matsuev!
Does anyone else capture the shimmering beauty of "nimrod" like Temirkanov & St. Pete? That string section is really something wonderful.

    THANK YOU.
