WOW!! There are so many interesting details to Temirkanov's interpretation of Prokofiev's first symphony. So often conductors do not give this symphony the attention it deserves because they think it is Prokofiev still learning his art; but Temirkanov demonstrates this is an important and complex symphony; his performance here is quite different from how he played it with the Boston Symphony....
