  2. Once again, thank you so much for these performances.

    The Beethoven Trio is brilliant, though Kogan does seem to "steal" this piece! But that Bach aria is AMAZING!! The diminuendos at 2'38 & 3'57 are breath-takingly beautiful. Rostropovich's emotional playing is complemented by equally sensitive conducting by Anosov. Much rubato contributes to the effect. I love it!

    With gratitude, here is more "Slava" & the BSO this time playing Strauss's "Don Quixote" live at Symphony Hall, Boston. (The viola part is played by Steven Ansell, principal violist for the BSO.)
