Rostropovich: one of the great artists of our time!

Please enjoy the following recording from my personal collection. Mstislav Rostropovich with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Seiji Ozawa in the world broadcast premier of Bernard Rand's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra LIVE from Symphony Hall in Boston 4 April 1997. The piece was commissioned by the BSO in celebration of Slava's 70th birthday. The composer was also in the audience for this performance.
