    Tchetuev plays a technically fine Rachmaninov 2nd concerto, but I don't really hear the passion and commitment in his playing, especially in the adagio....

    However, what a marvelous Mendelssohn 4th here! Dmitriev breathes new life and vitality into this symphony, especially in the first movement. Many intriguing elements here, especially the tempo shifts in the 3rd movement. It is evident that Dmitriev has studied the score and has something new to say about this it. Dynamics and phrasing in the 4th movement build and relax the musical tensions very nicely!

    I also think so. Just can not express a thought in words. Chetuyev devoted his speech to his teacher, Vladimir Krainev, who died in 2011. Hence, the concert was rather peaceful, with the memories ...
