  4. Hello Panovnik,

    I found another disc to add to the Temirkanov collection.

    Temirkanov conducts:

    Lev Solin Concert Pieces for Symphony Orchestra(1965 Moscow Philharmonic);

    Nazib Zhiganov Symphonic Songs (1967 USSR Radio & TV Large Symphony Orchestra);

    and Tofik Kuliev's Violin Concert with Mark Lubotsky, violin (1974 USSR Radio & TV Large Symphony Orchestra.

    These are from a Russian Disc CD 11 046

    Would you like any or all of these? Please let me know.

    Regards,
    DK

  6. The CD cover says the Solin Concert Pieces with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra was recorded in 1956, but I think they meant 1965. Still this may be the earliest recording of Temirkanov conducting? I do not know of any earlier recording, do you?

    The Zhiganov Symphony Songs is from 1965 with the USSR Radio & Large Symphony Orchestra, but the CD does not identify where any of these recordings were made....

    Interesting playing by violinist Mark Lubotsky in Kuliev's Violin Concerto in A minor from 1974, again with the USSR Radio & TV Large Symphony Orchestra.
