    Wonderful! Thank you thank you for this recording, though the sound is not the best, the quality of teh St Petersburgh orchestra still shines through! My dream is to one day hear them in person in St Petersburg! Temirkanov conducts two fascinating performances of Beethoven's works that are not otherwise available. I am especially intrigued by his approach to the 5th symphony which finds a good balance between the romance and power of the piece especially in the 4th movement.

    Also, some surprises in this broadcast, including Beethoven's Piano Quartet in Eb played by the Bamburg Quartet and another piece for harp(?) - must be a transcription, but I cannot quite place the piece. Could you please tell me what is the first piece played before the piano concerto?
