Thank you for this fascinating look at Musin at work, which demonstrates the true master of the "Russian conducting technique" in action and which further provides insights into those conductors who are Musin's disciples/students, like Temirkanov. Also, Musin's ideas about Beethoven's 1st symphony are enlightening, as shifts in tempos, dynamics, and especially harmonics accentuate the richness of a symphony that others may dismiss as "early Beethoven."
